Our Story
Local resident Stella Kolb saw a growing gap of services for those in need in the community in 2021 and brought together a group of dedicated residents to discuss how we might improve the quality of life in our town. When a local resident needed emergency care and after support, the need for the group became even more self-evident and the Star Bright Civic Collective was officially formed as a 501(c)(3) organization with the support and dedication of Carol Besler.
The initial board and officers were appointed, and the Star Bright Initiative kicked off our initial season of support with several programs including: local resident holiday program, EMT training funding, and a hotline to call for residents who need support that existing programs cannot provide.
